Moving people are looking for powerful and larger SUVs for their transport and towing needs. The GMC Yukon is one of the SUVs that can meet these needs in fact the Yukon had experienced several changes to cope with the changing tastes of the SUV buyers. Since its introduction in 90s the Yukon had evolved from a 6-seater 2-door four-wheel drive SUV to the current 9-seater 4-door full size SUV that has an option of either a 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. The Yukon is known for its comfortable ride with extra spaces for cargos and extra strong power for towing services. The GMC Yukon has made its debut in 1992 as a replacement for the long running full-size GMC Jimmy. The first generations of GMC Yukon were in the market from 1992-2000 with the original 2-door Yukons running in sales from 1992-1997. The first generation two-door Yukons were only available in four-wheel drives and the 1995 4-door models were offered in either 2 wheel or 4x4. The engines used in early Yukons were revised in 1996 to produce more torque and power. These high power engines became the standard in all Yukon models during that time especially in the original Denali model that was initially available in 4WD only. Even in its first generation, the GMC Yukon was already known to produce high power and enough comfort for both the passenger and the driver. The only complaint regarding the Yukon is its cheaper interior materials and weak brakes. The second-generation Yukon was introduced in 2000 all in V8 engines that promise more reliable power. The new Yukon Denali was also launched in 2001 with more comfortable interior and better handling features. Side airbags in the front seats were also included in the new generation. The current GMC Yukon is now available in a rigid and fully boxed frame after it was fully redesigned in 2007. The change in design was also made in other models that are using the same Chevrolet Tahoe platform. The 2007 GMC Yukon offers a quiet and smoother ride in a 5,500-pound vehicle. The interiors are much improved for greater comfort and the new seating configurations are available for a number of passengers ranging from five to nine regular sized adults depending on the trim levels used. The available Yukon trim levels are the SLE, SLT, and the Denali. The SLE trims are equipped with stability control, full power accessories, CD player, and a tri-zone air-conditioning unit. Same features are also available in SLT with the addition of automatic control and leather upholstery. The SLE and SLT are available in 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive models. The 2WD Yukon models give a net power of 290 hp in a 4.8-liter V8 while the 4WDs run with the 320-hp 5.3-liter V8 that features a cylinder deactivation for achieving the same highway mileage with the other models. The 4x4 Denali is offered in a larger and more powerful 6.2-liter V8 that is capable of giving 380 horsepower for heavy loads and towing services. With the continuous refinement efforts made in the GMC Yukon especially in the Denali models, these SUVs are far off the better choices for those looking for a spacious vehicle that also offers comfortable accommodations for its passengers. The GMC Yukons rigid body-on-frame construction gives its fair share in off-road driving and its stout foundation is suitable for towing services. . Headlights by State: ______________________
