The Hyundai XG300 is the flagship model of the Hyundai car making company. The car started its life as the Hyundai Grandeur, marketed as the Hyundai XG in the North American market. The car was first produced in 1986 and has gone through several renames though still in production up to the present. The Hyundai car company has been busy reinventing itself for several years. The early failures of the cars introduced by Hyundai to the American market hurt the company quite bad. That is why the recent come back of the Hyundai cars in the American car markets has amazed many car enthusiasts. The Hyundai car company has been steadily upgrading their cars and making them fit for American car drivers. The Hyundai XG300 and the succeeding XG350 is proof of that. The XG300 was the flagship model of Hyundai from 2001 to 2003. Competing in a highly saturated market dominated by car brands with built up names and reputations, the XG300 did not have very much of an impact on the market. Although a solid performing car, the XG300 lacked the performance and the styling to really launch it to success. What buyers found most attractive with the Hyundai XG300 was its price and warranty offer. The XG300, like most of Hyundai's cars, was priced at the lowest of its class. The warrant for the car was also quite generous and quite unbeatable in its class as well. The XG300 was ultimately discontinued in 2003 but a Hyundai XG350 was introduced in 2002 which continued in production until 2006 when it was redesigned and renamed as the Hyundai Azera. The Hyundai XG300 was introduced with a 3 litre Sigma V6 engine which produced an output of 193 bhp. It was one of the biggest cars in its class and was only smaller to the Audi A6. The XG300 also featured several options which competed with the more high end cars of its class such as the BMW 5 series and the Mercedes E-class. The car was rated wit a top speed of 225 km and a 0 to 60 mph rating of 8.5 seconds. In 2002, the Hyundai XG350 was introduced which had a 3.5 litre Sigma V6 engine which had an output of 200 hp. The XG350 also carried an L trim which had a number of more luxurious features such as heated seats, an Infinity sound system, wood and leather trims, moon roof and 10 spoke alloy rims. The Hyundai XG300 and the XG350 was not at the top of its class but the car was a stable performer and had a very low price tag which seemed to have been enough for most buyers of the car. As a discontinued model, the Hyundai XG300 and XG350 are mostly available in the second hand market these days. The low valuation of Hyundai cars should keep the Hyundai XG300 and XG350 prices at the price brackets. . Headlights by State: ______________________
