The Suzuki Verona was the biggest car model offered by Japanese car maker Suzuki. The Suzuki Verona was a mid size car rebadged by Suzuki as the Verona from the Daewoo Magnus. The car sold poorly and was discontinued after just three car model years.
The Suzuki Verona was definitely a step in the wrong direction for the Suzuki car company. The Suzuki Verona was a rebadged version of the Daewoo Magnus, a car model that GM got from their purchase of the Daewoo car company. As a matter of fact, the Daewoo Magnus has actually been pushed by GM to several car markets under a number of names. Suzuki, a stake holder of GMDAT (GM Daewoo Auto & Technology), decided to take the Daewoo Magnus, rebadge it as the Suzuki Verona and sold it as a mid size sedan in the Suzuki line up of car models. Suzuki began selling the Suzuki Verona in the North American car market in 2004. In other car markets, the Daewoo Magnus was sold as the Daewoo Evanda and the Chevrolet Evanda. Like the Suzuki Forenza, another Daewoo badge engineered car model by Suzuki, the Suzuki Verona turned out to be a mistake for Suzuki. Most car buyers were unimpressed with the car and the few who bought it were plagued with mechanical problems which eroded the market perception of the Suzuki brand name. Suzuki pulled out the Suzuki Verona from the car markets after the year 2006 model as it was plagued with low sales and quality concerns.
The Suzuki Verona was just a renamed Daewoo Magnus. Thus the mechanical features of the car is virtually of the Daewoo Magnus. The latest or last model available for the Suzuki Verona was the 2006 car model. The car was available as either a base or a luxury trim. The engine available for both trims was an inline 6 cylinder 2.5 litre engine connected to a 4 speed automatic transmission. Standard features of the car included front side airbags, 4 wheel disc brakes with antilock features, power windows, power locks, heated power mirrors, air conditioning, keyless entry, tilting steering wheel, stereo with steering wheel controls and height adjustable driver seat. The power of the Suzuki Verona was unimpressive. Its suspension was one of its better features and handling was also acceptable, though a bit too touchy. The Suzuki Verona suffered a lot of quality problems.
The Suzuki Verona is now only available as a second hand vehicle and there is no real reason for anyone to buy this car. It may be priced lower than other car models but buyers are most likely going to be spending additional money on car repairs. Headlights by State: ______________________
