The engine choices for the GMC 3500HD regardless of the body designs are the Vortec 6.0-liter SFI V8 and the DURAMAX Turbo Diesel 6.6-liter V8. This pickup truck model is available in several trims in its three body designs namely the regular cab, extended cab, and the crew cab design. The regular cab is available in two trim designs, the SLE1 and the Work Truck trims. The extended cab and the crew cab designs are available in four trim levels, the Work Truck, SLE1, SLE2, and top-shelf SLT. The GMC Sierra 3500HD is also available in two- and four-wheel-drive models in all body designs. The common exterior designs of the Sierra 3500HD include fog lamps, grille chrome surround and the 17” wheels. The 3500HD also features power door locks and windows, sunroof, a Driver Information System, Navigation System, and a DVD Entertainment System. Safety features include dual-stage front air bags and the anti-lock 4-wheel disk brakes. Other GMC Sierra 3500HD features differ according to trim levels. The work truck trim (WT 1SA) features and AM/FM stereo and MP3-compatible CD player in 4-speaker audio system, vinyl seat trims, and daytime running lights. The SLE trim (SLE 1 3SA) has additional or replacement features of the WT 1SA. These features include single-zone manual air-conditioning system, cruise control, cloth seat trims, front halogen fog lamps, defogger, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SLE2 3SB features a dual-zone air-conditioning system with climate control, front bucket seat with 6-way power adjusters, and the steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The SLT trim levels (SLT 4SA) features a Bose premium speaker system, rear seat audio system controls for the crew cab models, front bucket seats with 10-way power adjuster, and an Ultra-Soft leather appointed seat trims.
