The Lexus SC430 is the second generation of the personal luxury coupe line of Lexus, the Lexus SC car model line. The Lexus SC430 featured the latest accessories in terms of in car entertainment and the trims of the car were quite befitting its luxury car status. The resulting market reaction to the Lexus SC430 to the release of the Lexus SC430 was overwhelmingly positive. During its first year of release, the Lexus SC430 ranked among the top sellers of Lexus. Since then, the Lexus SC430 has been a good seller for Lexus though, in recent years, the Lexus SC430 has been receiving decreasing sales. The Lexus SC430 was officially exported to U.K. car markets, unlike the earlier models which only reached the car markets as personal imports. The Lexus SC430 differed significantly with its predecessors, the Lexus SC3400 and the Lexus SC400. Under the hood of the Lexus SC430 resided a 4.3 litre V8 engine which produced a total power output of 288 hp and a torque force output of 317 ft-lbf. This gave the Lexus SC430 a 0 to 60 mph rating of around 6 seconds. The transmission available for the Lexus SC430 was only a five speed automatic transmission. The standard equipment available for the Lexus SC430 included traction control, ABS, an antiskid system, front knee airbags, front side airbags, leather upholstery, wood trims available either as Bird's Eye Maple wood trim or Espresso Walnut, steering linked headlamps, a DVD based navigation system and a high end sound system. The Lexus SC430 also featured a retractable aluminum hardtop. The Lexus SC430 gave plenty of acceleration on the road. The automatic transmission also shifted smoothly and promptly. The overall ride of the Lexus SC430 was solid and reliable with little body shake due to road imperfections. Steering and control for the Lexus SC430 were spot on and the car was quite agile on the road. Fuel economy is just about average in its class. The Lexus SC430 belongs at the top of its class for good reason. It has performance, it has luxury and it has the well established Lexus brand name going for it.
