The Chevrolet S10 is a compact pickup truck that is designed either for family use or commercial use. This has always been great for other purposes even for a service of a typical student. This model testifies how flexible Chevy trucks are from.
Chevrolet S10 was first introduced in 1982, the same time when GMC version was known as the S-15. Later on, it was renamed the GMC Sonoma. The high-performance version was the GMC Syclone. S10 was also sold by Isuzu, named as Hombre from 1996 to 2000. The SUV version, Chevrolet S-10 Blazer/GMC S-15 Jimmy was also introduced to the market then. The electric version was chartered as a fleet vehicle in 1997 and 1998. Such trucks are often referred to as the S-series. In 2004, S-series was replaced by new models: the GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Colorado, and Isuzu i-Series. In 1983, alongside the larger K5 Blazer and Jimmy, its production runs on. However, this has just lasted through 2005. The retail sales in US of Chevy Blazer after 2004 were limited to two-door Blazer models, while the other models being sold to fleets, until April 2005. In Canada, four door models of the Blazer and Jimmy were marketed until the 2004 model year. The S-series were produced in different states like Ohio, New Jersey, Brazil, Louisiana, and Linden.
Chevrolet S10 is empowered with a 4.3 L V6 option (for its older year models), which was also used with the Astro and Safari vans, as based on the ubiquitous Chevrolet Small-Block V8 engine. This engine generates a respectable 150 hp (110 kW), as the power output was upgraded to 160 hp (120 kW). The smooth transmission is either 4-speed automatic 5-speed manual, depending on the year model. The 4.3-liter engine drives torque at low engine speeds, creating strong acceleration down the road. With such specs, would you question the towing power? Regarding the suspensions, most riders will complain about the bouncy and bang over bumpy roads along the way. The interior that spacious but the interior features are indeed comfortable for every rider. The dashboard layout makes an elegantly appealing front section but on the negative side, some controls are a long reach. The radio buttons are even small.
Though not as grand as the Cherokee and Explorers, the Chevrolet S10 remains competitive with its good interior facilities and engine. Perhaps when talking about the functionality in transporting cargo, S10 can be considered a good choice.
