Toyota Paseo Headlights: Find Your Replacement Paseo Headlight Assembly

The Toyota Paseo was a sporty coupe made from Japan car maker Toyota. The car was first produced in 1991 and was discontinued in 1999. However, it was only available in the United States car market up to 1997.

The Toyota Paseo was the successor of the Toyota Corolla GT-S Coupe. It was designed to be a sport compact and featured a more sporty look and performance while maintaining a low price tag which differentiated it from the line up of Toyota car models at the time. The Toyota Paseo was actually considered by many to be a more affordable, less pricey option to the Toyota Celica. The car shared a lot of mechanical features from the Toyota Tercel though, aesthetically, both cars were vastly different. The Toyota Paseo was not as big a hit on the car market as its other Toyota siblings which explains its relatively short production run. The last model year for the Toyota Paseo in the United States was 1997. Other car markets continued to receive the car after 1997, however. During the 1997 year, the Toyota Paseo was introduced as a convertible. However, this model was only produced in low quantities and are now hard to find models.

In terms of performance, the Toyota Paseo could hold its own on the road. While available in both manual and automatic shifting, the manual shift gave the car better acceleration performance than the automatic did. Although not quite lightning fast at starting, the Toyota Paseo reached higher speeds fairly quick with its engine enthusiastically revving away. A major advantage of the Toyota Paseo was its impressive gas mileage. Drivers have reported reaching over 30 miles to the gallon with the car. It also offered a very comfortable and bump-forgiving ride. Although the car was relatively light and does not straddle the road as well as other sports coupes, it still felt solid on the road. Maneuvering the Toyota Paseo was also very impressive. The small size of the car made it very easy to park and to navigate traffic with. Handling was quite responsive as well and was very competent in most situations. The Toyota Paseo did suffer from body lean on quick turns and its suspension was not nearly as sports car like as other cars in its class. Cabin space was also a problem with the Toyota Paseo if more than two passengers were riding. The rear seating of the car was very small and was actually more fit for children or for baggage. The trunk provided a surprisingly large space and was actually larger than average for vehicles in its class.

There are a lot of pros and cons for getting a Toyota Paseo. For one thing, the car is relatively ancient by now. It is also not as interesting as other car models. The major advantage of the Toyota Paseo would have to be its impressive fuel economy. Given the unstable fuel prices these days, this might just be the winning argument for getting a Toyota Paseo.
