Chevrolet K20 Pickup Headlights: Find Your Replacement K20 Pickup Headlight Assembly

The C/K line of the Chevrolet and that of GMC was a tried and tested truck and pick-up line that was manufactured from 1960 until 1998. The C trucks that were offered are the ones that have two-wheel drive and the vehicles that carried the K label are the ones that mean it was a four wheel drive. This line of vehicle was part of the line-up of the GMC up until 1998 until the Sierra and the Silverado HD took the slot. The K20 pick-up was one of those pick-ups that were produced under this line and this vehicle was known as well as the C20.

The K20 pick-up was in production from the year 1960 until 1966. This was part of the first generation of the C/K line-up and throughout its life; the pick-up featured seven varying engines. Also the introduction of this pick-up in 1960 marked the many first for Chevrolet and General Motors. These many firsts on the pick-up are focused on the aesthetics value of the vehicle, the replacement of the used nomenclature and of course on the performance and the specifications of the vehicle.

The first noticeable tweak that was made on the first-generation K20 pick-up was its new body style as opposed to its predecessor. The cab now has the ability to sit lower and become more independent from the suspension thanks to the drop-center ladder frame of the pick-up. Another first that was implemented by the time this first generation was introduced was the adoption of new labeling for the trucks and the pick-ups. If the old naming scheme was used, the K20 would have been the 3200 since the vehicle is a three fourth ton vehicle. But this label was dropped in favor of the new 20 to indicate that the vehicle was a ¾ ton model. Standard on the 1962 version of the pick-up was the torsion bar front suspension. This was partnered with a trailing arm suspension at the rear end of the pick-up. The engines that were made available for this first generation C/K vehicle include the 3.8L I6, the 3.9L I6, the 4.1L I6 engine, the 4.3L I6 engine, the 4.8L I6, the 4.6L I6 and the 5.4L V8 engine. The 3.9L version of the engine boasted 135 horsepower and the 4.6L on the other hand was a V8 that managed 185 horsepower.

More than just the performance of this first-generation vehicle, this vehicle from GM was made to look good as well with the introduction of an upgrade on the looks of the vehicle. Air condition was added as an extra as well, helping pick-up enthusiasts treasure the K20 more.
