These three engines have the capacity to produce 135 horsepower, 150 horsepower and the last one has the capacity to produce 160 horsepower. The standard engine that was used on the K15 Suburban was the one that can produce 135 horsepower. The K-15 and the other vehicles that shared the same nomenclature ended its run in 1987, at least on the usage of the name and the nomenclature. The year 1987 was the year when the last of these vehicles were introduced in the market. These vehicles were in the market for 15-year generation. This was the year when the throttle-body injection was introduced and used on all the gas engines. The result was a new generation of vehicles that were capable to produce great performance on and off the road. Power of the new breed of vehicles can amount to 170 and 210 horsepower. And as mentioned after decades of using the K and the C, these names were dropped. The C name was dropped in favor of the R and the K name was dropped in favor of the V.
