Mercedes G500 Headlights: Find Your Replacement G500 Headlight Assembly

No one ever thought that luxury and rough roads could ever be caught together in one sentence. That is, until they heard of the Mercedes-Benz G500.

Hailing from the G-Class Mercedes-Benz line, the G500 is a four-wheel drive automobile, or more aptly, an SUV (sport utility vehicle) made originally for both military and civilian use at the close of the Cold War. It was first sold as the G-Wagen back in 1979 and held a solid reputation of being able to uphold a top-of-the-line performance even through the worst conditions across continents. Back then, the old G500 was not the type of ride that appealed well to America in the 80s and 90s. But as the G500’s reputation grew, its North American sales followed until it became the permanent fixture that it is today in the American market. The US version’s engine is made up of a 292 hp 5.0L V8 of the SL500 and CL500 fame. More than being a serious off-road driving vehicle, the G500’s excellent safety system also assures its handler and riders that they are in safe hands.

At first look, the G500 is an outright truck, no pretensions, whatsoever. It is designed with a controlled non-styling effort whose overall effect loses the curves to a boxy exterior. The G500’s bodywork is all corners and cuts, emphasized by its flat windshield. The rigidity of the lines conjures up an image of a determined and focused fighter ready to take on a challenge. Despite its hard, and almost unwelcoming exteriors, the rider will be surprised to see that the G500’s interiors provide the luxury comforts that are usually inherent in sports coupes or sedans. The seats are upholstered with fine leather in walnut trimmings. The cabin offers a generous amount of headroom and legroom. Safety-wise, the G500 does not come up short with its well-ventilated antilock disc brakes as well as is ESP stability control that comes with a Brake Assistant. Other standard features include navigation assistance through a GPS system and an integrated TeleAid emergency system.

With the G500, you would never have to worry while on the road, or when faced with a lack of one. With the G500’s tough front and rear axels, control, road or no road, is not a problem. The hand-made chassis is rigid and solid. And with a four-wheel drive on full-time work, the G500 can take out a tough beating of slippery roads, deep holes, steep mountainsides, and the whole lot of off-road courses without a hitch. The G500 can likewise flex in between the outback and the highway. On the concrete pavement, the vehicle is quiet and poised, never intrusive. The G500’s V8 comes coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift gears that can adjust to the driver’s desired mode.

The G500 is a Jekyll and Hyde of a lot of sorts. It is a road warrior that braves on the cruelest of terrains when traveling off-roads. However, it can effortlessly adapt to the mum and steady pace of the urban jungle with the composed disposition of a ballet dancer. In conclusion, the G500 is a rare combination of strength and elegance that delivers more than what is expected from it.
