Pontiac G5 Headlights: Find Your Replacement G5 Headlight Assembly

The Pontiac G5 is the compact car entry of the Pontiac Motor Division, a division of General Motors. The Pontiac G5 has sold well for Pontiac in its United States home market and in the Canadian market where the Pontiac G5 is released as the Pontiac G5 Pursuit.

The Pontiac G5 was first released in the car market by Pontiac in the year 2004. The car was sold as a 2005 model year car model. The Pontiac G5 was released by Pontiac in the Canadian car market where it was given the name of Pontiac Pursuit. The car was renamed as the Pontiac G5 Pursuit from the middle of 2006 up to the present car model. In Mexico, the car was released as the Pontiac G4 from 2005 to 2006. The United States release of the Pontiac G5 was in 2005 in August. The car was sold as a 2007 model year vehicle. The Pontiac G5 shares platforms with the Chevrolet HHR, the Chevrolet Cobalt, the Saturn Ion and the European Opel Astra which is known as the Saturn Astra in the North American car market. While the Pontiac G5 is released as a sedan in Canada and Mexico, the car is only available as a coupe in the United States car market. The Pontiac G5 is notable for its unconventional electric power steering which is quite different from the conventional hydraulic power steering. Since its release, the Pontiac G5 sold well for Pontiac in most of its markets.

The Pontiac G5 compact car is built on the Delta platform of General Motors. The Pontiac G5 is available in a 2 door coupe body style in the United States car market and in a 4 door sedan body style in the Mexican and Canadian car market. The car has a front engine front wheel drive layout. The car has an independent front suspension using MacPherson struts suspension system and a semi independent rear suspension using torsion bars. The car is available with either a five speed manual transmission or a four speed automatic transmission. Several engines are available for the Pontiac G5. For the 2005 to 2008 model year of the car, an Ecotect L61 2.2 litre inline six engine capable of 145 hp was available. For the 2006 to 2008 model of the Pontiac G5 was available with an Ecotec LE5 inline four 2.4 litre engine with an output of 171 hp. For the 2009 model of the car, an Ecotec LAP inline four 2.4 litre engine with an output of 155 hp is available.

The Pontiac G5 has plenty of features to attract compact car buyers. The advanced design and the feature set of the Pontiac G5 makes it very competitive in its particular car segment. For the second hand car markets, the Pontiac G5 will most probably be still high priced given the age of the car.
