For the 2005 to 2008 model year of the car, an Ecotect L61 2.2 litre inline six engine capable of 145 hp was available. For the 2006 to 2008 model of the Pontiac G5 was available with an Ecotec LE5 inline four 2.4 litre engine with an output of 171 hp. For the 2009 model of the car, an Ecotec LAP inline four 2.4 litre engine with an output of 155 hp is available. The Pontiac G5 has plenty of features to attract compact car buyers. The advanced design and the feature set of the Pontiac G5 makes it very competitive in its particular car segment.
