The G30 vans that were manufactured by Chevrolet have seen many variations and some tweaks. Though the vehicles may have been tweaked, updated and re-updated for many purposes the basic intention of the vans like the G30 has remained the same throughout the years. And that intention of the vans was to be used by people and many business entities in order to transport many things, from people to packages. This tried and tested capability of the G30 and the other members of the G-series have allowed for people to continue on patronizing the G30 even though a number of other sleek-looking vans are presented in the market. The Chevy G30 is not the only variation of the G-series that was presented by Chevrolet and the GM. Other variations that may have shared some of the construction and the technical specs of are the Chevrolet Beauville which is often referred to as the passenger variant and the Chevy Sport van. Other variants include the G10 which was called as the light-duty version of the G20 and the chassis version of the Chevrolet G31.Reliability and dependability is a given for the G30. But its not all smooth sailing for the van. The van may be reliable and dependable as a whole, but the fuel efficiency of the van leave much to be desired. And this is one reason why some vehicle consumers rethink their options if they will get the van or not. The 1991 version of the G30 which featured the 4.3 liter and the V-6 engine carried 16 miles per gallon figure for city driving and 21 for highway driving. This means that the combined mpg of the 1992 version stood at 18 miles per gallon. The 1995 version of the G30 on the other hand registered 13 miles per gallon and another 15 miles per gallon for highway driving. The figures made a combined 14 miles per gallon. Certainly these figures arent good if the owner of the vehicle will cruise the city streets.Since the van isnt intended to be used to cruise the city rather but rather used for business concerns and applications as indicated earlier, the miles per gallon consumption is really not an issue. It remained the choice vehicle of most entrepreneurs, big families and the likes. With the advantages this vehicle offer even other individuals who just prefer a van might love to have one.
