The buyers of cargo vans are usually hard to please. They often look for a number of things before they can say that they like the cargo van and they are willing to consider that cargo van. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Since cargo vans are expected to be used on tough road applications then it is only logical that van buyers will opt for those vans that can meet the many demands on the road. And aside from toughness the other criteria that is often used by buyers are brand loyalty, reliability and working specifications. One vehicle that meets the demands of these new generation van buyers is the Chevrolet G25. The G25 of Chevy is part of the series of vans that were introduced in the market in 1996. The ancestor of the G25 is the Sportvan before this van was changed into the Express in time for 1996. The name wasn’t the only one changed; rather there are other changes that were made on the new Express that was introduced during that year. Other upgrades and modifications that are seen on the new Express and these are the high mounted taillights, the new power plants and an updated cabin that also featured improved ergonomics. This set of new styling on the vehicle allowed the series and the G25 be a stand out against Chevy’s competitors like the ones from Ford and Dodge. Between 1996 and 2002, the van didn’t get many changes in terms of appearance and construction. But the year 2003 saw a significant change on the Express. This was the year when bigger and powerful engines were introduced for the G25 and other Express trims and versions. Some of the more powerful engines that were introduced were the V6 engine that has the capability to produce 200 horsepower. There is also the power plant that can produce 300 horsepower and this was the 6 liter and the V8 engine. This was also the time when the all wheel drive was offered for the Express was offered the first time. But this year was more significant for the ¾ ton version or the G25 and the G2500 since this was the year that the van was made public and made available in the market. The G25 is somewhat similar to the GMC Savanna. This vehicle can come as passenger vans and may come as well as cargo vans. The current version of the Chevy Express and that includes the G25 featured a powerful Vortec engine and this engine is aV6 and the power that can be produced by the van can reach 200 horsepower with 4600 rpm. The anti-lock brakes will come as a standard on the van. This vehicle simply matches the needs of people on the move and matches the needs of the enterprising individual. And what is good about the van is that this can be configured for anyone’s needs and wants. The G25 and the rest of the many trims of the Express are good buy for their strength and versatility.
