The Hyundai Entourage is a minivan manufactured by Kia and sold by Hyundai. The car is a relatively new entrant in the minivan car market, released as it was in 2006. The Hyundai Entourage is currently enjoying good sales figures.

The minivan car market was expected to decline with the rise of the SUV car markets. The SUVs are generally seen to be sportier, more appealing options to the aging minivan car design while providing more or less the same capabilities. Thus it came as quite a surprise for most car watchers when Hyundai announced the release of the Hyundai Entourage. Hyundai actually cancelled the release of the Entourage for a time but the minivan was ultimately released in 2006, in April. The Hyundai Entourage is basically the same car model as the Kia Sedona. Side by side, the cars have minimal difference. The most obvious difference between the Hyundai Entourage and the Kia Sedona would be the higher price tag of the Entourage. On its first release, the Hyundai Entourage experienced low sales figures primarily due to the market perception of Hyundai car brands and to the slow down of the minivan car market. Notably, on its first year of release, the Hyundai Entourage outsold the Kia Sedona. The Hyundai Entourage received the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's highest rating, the five star. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has also given the Hyundai Entourage its Gold Top Safety Pick badge. Thus, the Hyundai Entourage is currently the safest minivan in the minivan car markets. Naturally, Hyundai has made this a focal point in its marketing of the Entourage and the car has therefore become quite popular, enjoying good sales figure at present.

The Hyundai Entourage is powered by a V6 3.8 litre L Lambda engine, the same engine used with the Hyundai Azera. The output of the Hyundai Entourage's engine is notably lower than the Azera's however. Whereas the Azera engine had an output of 265 hp, the Entourage had a lower output of 252 hp. The Hyundai Entourage features a five speed automatic transmission and rack and pinion steering with power assist. Suspension for the minivan is independent with the rear wheels having independent multi-link suspension and the front having MacPherson suspension. Fuel economy for the Entourate is at 18 mpg for city driving and 25 mpg for highway driving. The Azera can comfortably seat seven persons and has a generous interior volume of 172.3 cubic feet. The performance of the Hyundai Entourage is about what can be expected from a minivan. The drive is slow on the go but powerful. The high body profile makes it prone to leaning. Steering is responsive enough and the general ride of the Hyundai Entourage is pretty much on par with what can be expected with a minivan.

For a minivan, the Hyundai Entourage is a good choice. The safety ratings of the Entourage definitely gives it an edge in the minivan market.
