Mercedes E-55 AMG Headlights: Find Your Replacement E-55 AMG Headlight Assembly

E-class is the mid-size sedan line-up manufactured by Mercedes Benz in a variety of engines and body configurations. Although the “E class” ancestry stretches back to the 19th, the model designation “E-class” model designation was not used until 1984. Previous to said year, the letter “E” was used as a suffix to the engine classification in naming the vehicle models, for example 300E. However, upon the introduction of the W124 chassis, the E was then used as a prefix, for example E320. Beginning since then, any car variant bearing the W124 internal chassis was referred to as the E-class. However, as years passed and more developments were made, the W124 was replaced several times. After 1995, the W210 replaced the W124, which was also replaced by the W211 after 2002.

The E-class lineup is available in both sedan and wagon variants. For over a hundred years of perfecting luxury vehicles, it is needless to mention that Mercedes Benz E-class has a well-established reputation for being the ultimate luxury machine. But by far, the most alluring entry for the E-class would have to be the E55 AMG sport sedan. Debuted for the 1999 model, it rides on a W210 chassis, equipped with manually assembled 5.4 L version of the SOHC, 3-valve V8. Coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission, the engine boosts 349 hp at 5,500 rpm, and 391 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. It is fast and magnificently hunkered over its 18-inch AMG wheels. The E55 AMG is the most expensive vehicle in the entire E-class lineup. This interesting innovation was a result of the relationship between Mercedes-Benz with the German-based racing engine forge AMG. This particular sports sedan is distinguishable by its black-on-white gauges, twin chrome exhaust pipes, “E55 AMG” trunklid badge, and huge tires. Moreover, this V8 powered midsize sedan's top speed exceeds 170 mph. However, what's most amazing is the excellent balance between comfort and handling performance. With its reputable car tuning expertise, AMG armed the car with special Bilstein shocksk, stiffer springs, and thicker antiroll bars. Interior-wise, the E55 is equipped with special leather upholstery trim on the doors, steering, wheel and the seats. It is also furnished with high-end features such as automatic dual climate control system and sound system with the options integrated mobile phone and trunk-mounted CD player. All in all, this car is simply mouthwatering with its high speed and luxurious performance as well as its plush interior features.

By 2002, the Mercedes-Benz E55 was dropped from the E-class line up. But after its two year hiatus, the E55 is back with a vengeance. The all-new E-55 is now kicking at a 469 hp from its 5.4 L supercharged AMG V8 engine. Furnished with 18 in twin-spoke alloy wheels, standard air conditioning, six-stack CD, and many features that was carried over from the previous model, only modified. Optional features include a panorama sunroof, navigation system, electronic trunk closer, satellite radio, and hands-free mobile. On the road, it still has its driving prowess that is wonderful both for speed racing down the country road or simply within the city. Mercedes-Benz's E55 is ultimately the world's fastest, finest sports sedan with customer review rates that's soaring high as it is fast.

But aside from the praiseworthy E55 sedan, Mercedes-Benz also released an E55 wagon version in 2005, the year following the sedan's great comeback. And this baby does not fare far from its sedan sibling. This wagon is powered by a 5.5 L supercharged AMG V8 engine which generates just as much 469 hp as the sport sedan. It is also equipped with the same aerodynamic bodywork with AMG 18 in alloy wheels as well as the same standard interior features as the sedan. Well, there is simply no saying no to Mercedes is there? Not only is it able to produce a super car with its sports sedan, now it is going for the more family oriented wagon. And safety is not something to be troubled with the Mercedes either, since the 19th century, this automotive company has been very much revered for its reliable and safety oriented quality cars.
