This proved to be conservative as independent testing of the Lexus ES350 showed even quicker 0 to 60 mph ratings making it one of the quickest entry level luxury cars available in the North American car market. The Lexus ES350 has been made to be one of the quickest models in the Lexus car lineup. The car features a severely streamlined design. It also carries a more powerful engine. The Lexus ES350 has a 3.5 litre V6 engine which is capable of putting 272 hp on the asphalt. Only one transmission is available for the car. It is a 6 speed automatic transmission. Standard features for the Lexus ES350 include traction control, an antiskid system, ABS, front side airbags, front knee airbags, rear side airbags and curtain side airbags. Optional features for the Lexus ES350 include the Pre-Collision System of Lexus which is capable of detecting imminent crashes and of readying the safety features of the car in case of detection. On the road, the Lexus ES350 is one of the quickest on its feet. It accelerates from a stand still fairly quick and the automatic transmission works quite well, finding the right gear quickly.
