Toyota Corona Headlights: Find Your Replacement Corona Headlight Assembly

The Toyota Corona is one of the longest produced car in the world. Coming from the Japanese car maker Toyota, the Toyota Corona was first produced in 1957 and was in production up to 2002. However, the Toyota Corona was only exported to the North American market up to the 1982 Corona car models.

Along with some other models of Toyota, the Toyota Corona follows the naming convention of Toyota of taking the name of their premier models from different translations of the word "crown". The Toyota Corona proved to be one of the most successful car models of Toyota. Although already in production in Japan since 1957, the first exports of the Toyota Corona only came when the third generation of the cars were produced. Thus, the first Toyota Corona exports to come to the North American market were the 1974 models of the car which were also known as the Toyota Corona T100 series. The Toyota Corona was generally regarded as a large family car although, in the North American markets, it was considered as a compact car at first only to be upgraded to mid size car status later on. The Toyota Corona is often considered to be the car that established the car market presence of Toyota in the North American market. Certainly, Toyota saw an impressive sales increase upon the release of the Toyota Corona. The Toyota Corona is generally known for being a stable and efficient car. It saw a rise in sales due to the oil crisis of the 1970s.

The Toyota Corona was mainly a family car. It was available mainly in sedan format although liftbacks, coupes and station wagon formats were also available. The engines used for the Toyota Corona were mainly 4 cylinder gasoline engines. Some models do offer diesel engines but these are usually harder to find than gasoline engine car models. The last model of the Toyota Corona ever exported to the North American market is the 1982 model of the Toyota Corona. The 1982 Toyota Corona was available in sedan, coupe, liftback and station wagon formats. They were powered by variety of I4 engines starting with a 1.6 litre engine up to a 2.2 litre engine. After the 1982 model of the Toyota Corona, it was no longer exported to the North American car markets although production still continued up to 2002 and the car was still available in other international car markets. In the North American car market, the Toyota Corona was replaced by the Toyota Camry.

Stable and reliable was the byword of the Toyota Crown in its time. However, as an older car model, it severely lags in features with other car models. The Toyota Corona is a recommended buy only if there is really no other option which is usually not the case.
