In the 2005 production year, the 3.2 litre V6 was permanently replaced with the new 2.8 litre V6 DOHC engine. The first generation of Cadillac CTS cars ended in 2007 and the Cadillac CTS was redesigned for its second generation release which was on 2008. The second generation of the Cadillac CTS began with its 2008 model. The basic configuration offered a 3.6 litre V6 engine with variable valve timing capable of 258 hp. Another version carried a 3.6 litre V6 VVT with direct injection which produced 304 hp. Additionally, Cadillac has also released a Cadillac CTS coupe which is a more sporty and sleek version of the car and a Cadillac CTS-V which is a more performance focused version with a V8 engine and an output of 550 hp. For car buyers who have the money, the Cadillac CTS is a great car to have idling in your garage. Technically speaking, the car is a real performer and it has aggressive and edgy styling.
