Mazda B2300 Headlights: Find Your Replacement B2300 Headlight Assembly

The Mazda B2300 were a number of pickup trucks which is part of the Mazda B-Series of pickup trucks. The B-Series pickup trucks of Mazda were usually good sellers for Mazda but, during its later production years, sales of the B2300 gradually slowed down.

The Mazda B2300 car designation has been used for two versions of the Mazda B-Series of pickup trucks. The first time that the Mazda B2300 designation was used was with the Mark 4 versions of the Mazda B-Series of trucks. The Mark 4 versions were the Mazda B-Series trucks from model years 1994 to 1997. The Mark 4 Mazda B2300 was first released in 1994. It was available until 1997. The North American Mazda B2300 was no longer exclusively built by Mazda but shared production with the Ford Ranger. In Japan and other car markets however, Mazda still built the Mazda B2300 car models. The Mazda B2300 was available with an extended truck bed and a four wheel drive option was also available for the truck. The second time that the Mazda B2300 was with the 2002 model of the Mazda B-Series. This time around, the B-Series designation of the trucks were dropped and the trucks were known simply as the Mazda Truck. By the time that the 2002 Mazda B2300 was released, sales for the Mazda B-series of pickup trucks were beginning to slow down. However, it was not until the 2008 model year that Mazda would discontinue this long running line of pickup trucks.

The Mark 4 version of the Mazda B2300 was available with a OHC 2.3 litre I4 engine capable of 98 hp for the 1994 model year. This was upgraded to a OHC 2.3 litre I4 engine capable of 112 hp for the 1995 model year and the same engine was used for the Mark 4 Mazda B2300 until the 1997 model year. The truck was a compact pickup truck available with either a standard truck bed or with an extended car bed. The standard layout of the Mark 4 Mazda B2300 was a front engine rear wheel drive layout. However, a four wheel drive layout was also available. The available transmissions were a four speed automatic transmission and a 5 speed manual transmission. The 2002 Mazda B2300, renamed as the Mazda Truck used a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder engine mated to either a 5 speed manual transmission or a 5 speed automatic transmission. Unlike the other B-Series trucks available in the Mazda line at the time, the Mazda B2300 was aonly available with a rear wheel drive layout.

Unlike its predecessors, the Mazda B2300 is already a Ford derived vehicle and shares similarities with the Ford Ranger. This is one of the causes the slow down of the sales of the pickup truck. However, slow sales not withstanding, the Mazda B2300 was still a capable truck. The lack of a four wheel drive option is disappointing but the Mazda B2300 is still a good buy for those who are on a budget and are looking for a capable pickup truck.
