The Hyundai Accent is a front wheel front drive subcompact manufactured by South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai. The Hyundai Accent is notable as being the longest running subcompact car to be sold in the North American car market. Hyundai has also shown a demonstration model of a hybrid Hyundai Accent. This hybrid uses a 1.4 liter CVVT engine capable of 90 hp coupled with an electric motor rated at 16 hp. The model was set for a release in 2006 but has been on indefinite hold.
The Hyundai Accent is a good buy for those who are looking for a basic car with no extra frills. The low price of the Hyundai Accent is definitely an advantage and in this cash strapped times, it is quite a convincing advantage as well. However, buyers of this car must prepare for a low resale value.
