Trucks, heavy duty or otherwise, are probably the hardest types of motor vehicle to clean. This can be attributed to it enormous size, its innumerable shapes and contours, its almost unreachable parts and its overall vulnerability to accumulate dirt, debris and grime. Freightliner, now known as Daimler Trucks North America, is one of the leading producers of trucks in the whole world. These trucks are best known for their quality to withstand harsh natural elements, long hours of drive, and engine functionality. For truck drivers, Freightliner trucks’ windshields are also of consideration.
Freightliner trucks being overly used because of its ability to carry an enormous amount of truckload over a distance in just one trip, has the best chance of acquiring the most dirt. Its exterior is subject to pollution, air-carried pollen, even bug stains, and normal filth obtained from long hours of travel. Its interior is equally challenged by grease, smudges and even particularly stubborn stains. To top that, a truck, in general, is the very difficult vehicle to maneuver owing to its size. First, in the windshield washer compartment, add some few drops of liquid detergent or easily soluble soap. This will make the mixture of the windshield washer more potent. Water alone is not a good enough cleaner. There must be some sort of aid like soap.
Second, use the mixture periodically but wisely. When one says periodically, it means not waiting for the windshield to get really dirty before cleaning it. If your view of the road is starting to get blurry, squirt some liquid washer on and do not hesitate to start cleaning. Conversely, when we say wisely, it means not using the washer too much and not playing with it.
Lastly, make sure to be always alert. No amount of cleaning can compensate for an attentive mind especially in driving. Be vigilant in your maneuvering! Do not only check your windshield but also your side mirrors. There may be an overtaking vehicle in your hindsight; to the least, you have made the necessary precautions in order prevent an accident. Moreover, never forget to get a good rest. With long drives, there is a great tendency for a driver to doze off during the trip. Make sure that when you feel sleepy, you pull over, close your eyes for some moment. Until you feel active again, then that is the time you can proceed with your trip. If you have a companion, ask him to talk a lot. Talking is an exercise to prevent falling asleep. Make sure though, that you make it to your deadlines with the aid of your Freightliner truck’s windshield.
